Open the Genetiqo Vault and select your raw data file. The file is parsed entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to our servers.

Set Your Passphrase

Create a strong passphrase (10+ characters). This encrypts your genetic data using AES-256. Only you know this passphrase — we cannot recover it.

Client-Side Encryption

All encryption happens in your browser using Web Crypto API. Your passphrase never leaves your device.

PBKDF2 Key Derivation

Your passphrase is strengthened using 210,000 iterations of PBKDF2-SHA256 before encryption.

AES-256-GCM

Military-grade encryption protects your data at rest. Each vault has a unique random salt.

Zero-Knowledge Design

We cannot decrypt your vault. If you lose your passphrase, your data is unrecoverable (by design).

Common Questions

Do I need a DNA test to use Genetiqo?

For the vault, yes — you need a raw data file from a DNA testing service. However, you can try the playground with simulated data to see how it works.

Is my data uploaded to your servers?

No. Your raw genetic file is parsed and encrypted entirely in your browser. We only store data if you explicitly create a cloud backup.

What if I forget my passphrase?

We cannot recover your passphrase or decrypt your vault. This is a security feature, not a bug. Keep your passphrase safe.
